How does Shrammu clean up a green pool?
A pool turns green when algae gets ahead of the chlorine, which in Southern Utah heat can take only a few days after a pump stops, a filter clogs or the chemistry slips. Why pools turn green
A pool turns green when algae gets ahead of the chlorine. In Southern Utah heat that can happen in a few days, often after one of these:
- The pump stopped or the timer was cut back
- The filter clogged and stopped cleaning the water
- The chemistry slipped while you were away on vacation
- A storm or heavy use used up the chlorine
How we bring it back
Most green pools come back with chemistry, brushing and filter cleaning. Some are far enough gone that draining and cleaning out the pool is the better route. We'll look at it and tell you which, before we start.
We also check why it happened. If the pump or filter is the cause, cleaning the water alone won't keep it clear.
Keeping it clear afterward
Weekly or monthly service keeps the chemistry in range so the pool doesn't turn again. If you travel, a regular visit means you don't come home to green water.
